Wise Foods Project | Exclusive Rights to Their Brand

Challenge

Wise Foods had distribution in 105 Giant Eagle stores—but limited shelf space kept their snacks confined to a small aisle section, restricting impulse sales. At the same time, Giant Eagle needed space to launch a new bread brand—but had none available.

Solution

Bordertown developed a dual-purpose, custom bread table display—unlocking value for both brands. Giant Eagle showcased its new bread line on the tabletop, while Wise Foods secured exclusive use of the lower shelves for their branded snacks. Wise Foods presented the idea, Giant Eagle loved the concept, earned immediate approval and was rolled out across 105 stores.

Results

The impact was clear and immediate: a 25% sales lift after being in store for 4 months, with the display paying for itself in just 3.9 inventory turns.

Each unit generated $416.16 in sales per turn, delivering $124.85 in gross profit per table—proving the power of smart, shared retail space.
